Patient Evaluation and Care: Provide comprehensive evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.
Implementation and Monitoring: Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated respiratory equipment.
Documentation and Communication: Monitor, accurately record, and effectively communicate changes in the patient's condition to the care team.
Quality and Outcomes: Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on patient outcomes.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
- Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and
- Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for
- Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of
- Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

- Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Key Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. They are also responsible for monitoring patient care plans, managing respiratory equipment, and documenting changes in patient conditions.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC and obtain Illinois state licensure within 4 months. A BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire, along with a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
