The Nurse Practitioner diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries for Adult Medicine, Pediatric, and/or Women’s Health patients, providing acute and chronic medical care and health maintenance within their specialty. Responsibilities also include providing rotational on-call coverage for urgent health issues and collaborating with physicians on documentation review.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) school in the relevant specialty as required by Missouri state law and must possess a current license to practice in Missouri. Additional requirements include maintaining hospital-admitting privileges, meeting Meaningful Use criteria for the EHR, and holding current BLS/CPR certification.
