Key Responsibilities

Occupational Therapists assess and plan rehabilitation and discharge needs for diverse patient populations within an interdisciplinary team setting. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy assessment and treatment, supervising support staff and students, and offering consultation and training to clients, families, and healthcare community members.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and be eligible for individual membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, along with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and CPR Level C certification. Desired qualifications include knowledge of program development, acute care principles, specific acute occupational therapy treatments, splinting techniques, and two years of related clinical experience.
