Job Description
This is a PRN opportunity, 15-20 hours per week.
JOB SUMMARY: To assist the Director of Pharmacy Services in the day-to-day functions of the pharmaceutical services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern behavioral healthcare facilities and residential treatment facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
This is an onsite position with possible telepharm in the future.
Qualifications, Education and Training
Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other equipment relative to pharmaceutical services.
- Must have appropriate accredited certification and state registration.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent
PHYSICAL: Medium work: exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires standing and walking for long periods.
Special Skills and Abilities
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, state and government agencies/personnel, and the general public..
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Must be trustworthy, holding residents medical and personal information in confidence at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Pharmacy Services in daily departmental operations within behavioral healthcare and residential treatment facilities. Ensure all pharmaceutical services comply with federal, state, and local regulations to maintain high-quality patient care.
Requirements
Must possess appropriate accredited certification and state registration along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to handle independent decision-making in a clinical environment are required.
