Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Fawcett - Tacoma, WA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Bachelor's, Salary Range: $25.01 - $39.27Hourly, Travel Percentage: Travel within the community, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services, Homeless Outreach $25.01 - $39.27 Additional compensation may include shift differentials, stipends and/or longevity pay.
Full Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm Comprehensive Life Resources is seeking a passionate team player to provide Mental Health Counseling in our Homeless Outreach Team in downtown Tacoma, WA. We Offer - Medical, Dental, and Vision with 100% paid premiums for employees.

All benefits contingent on working a scheduled 40hrs a week. Scope Provide case management and counseling services to include individual or group services as part of the Outpatient behavioral services treatment team. Work may be in the clinic and/or community depending on client needs.
This is an outreach position with the expectation of working in the community a minimum of 50% of the time. Outreach workers must be able to meet clients where they are, which may include working in varying hazard/unsanitary conditions and being able to navigate a variety of terrain in all types of weather.
This position requires driving to and from locations where clients are located and may include driving clients.
Responsibilities Provide clinical case coordination and counseling to assigned clients Work as part of a clinical care team to provide integrated healthcare to consumers at CLR Complete risk assessments and coordinate treatment planning and services with other program staff, other consultants, relevant agencies, and individuals, e. g.
DOC, hospitals, Congregate Care Facilities, etc.) Work with consumers to achieve treatment goals; utilize Motivational Interviewing Techniques, cognitive behavioral and other evidence-based interventions to engage clients in the recovery process. Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
Keep records up-to-date and in compliance with WAC, Title XIX and agency requirements. Participate in intake and assessment, treatment planning, and psychiatric review of cases. Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and consultation sessions.
Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained. Provide support and counseling to client’s family and natural supports as appropriate. Be prepared to respond to client crisis as part of a team as appropriate or needed.
Work with clients and multidisciplinary team to develop a treatment plan (signed off on by an MHP for counselor 1) and track progress in achieving goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Competencies: Understands and respects diverse backgrounds and a commitment to culturally competent practice.
Demonstrates ethical decision-making skills and appropriate boundaries. Promote whole health care as a key to people’s recovery and quality of life. Ability to receive and apply consultation and feedback, is accountable, and contributes to a positive work environment.
Seeks supervision when needed and recognizes signs of burnout. Ability to complete paperwork within required timeframes, meeting content requirements. Able to meet weekly client service provisions (hours of service).
Understand basic behavioral health diagnostic framework and have ability to apply relevant treatment interventions.
Have thorough knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy Qualifications: Successfully completed and graduated from MH Counselor training at CLR or enrolled in a qualified master’s degree program.
Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and clinical paperwork standards WA State credential Strong computer skills Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements
