Join University of Iowa as a Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care (50%) in Iowa City, Iowa. The University of Iowa Department of Pharmaceutical Care is looking for a 50%25 Clinical Pharmacist to join our team! The clinical pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of medication preparation and dispensing throughout the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medication Preparation and Dispensing Oversee pharmacy technicians while staffing in dispensing locations.
  • Serve as a contact for medication distribution questions for pharmacy team members and other healthcare professionals.
  • Safely and accurately verify sterile and non-sterile compounded products following USP, USP, and USP guidelines.
  • Check pre-packaged medications, automated dispensing cabinet batches, floor-stock, emergency drug trays, and ambulance kits.

Requirements

  • Includes those eligible for obtaining this licensure.
  • Experience Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Job related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence.

Work Schedule

  • Part-Time position.
  • Weekend coverage may be required.
