Join University of Iowa as a Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care (50%) in Iowa City, Iowa. The University of Iowa Department of Pharmaceutical Care is looking for a 50%25 Clinical Pharmacist to join our team! The clinical pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of medication preparation and dispensing throughout the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation and Dispensing Oversee pharmacy technicians while staffing in dispensing locations.
- Serve as a contact for medication distribution questions for pharmacy team members and other healthcare professionals.
- Safely and accurately verify sterile and non-sterile compounded products following USP, USP, and USP guidelines.
- Check pre-packaged medications, automated dispensing cabinet batches, floor-stock, emergency drug trays, and ambulance kits.
Requirements
- Includes those eligible for obtaining this licensure.
- Experience Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Job related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence.
Work Schedule
- Part-Time position.
- Weekend coverage may be required.
