- Licenses: Active KY License or Universal License (IMLC)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform emergency general surgery procedures including bowel resection, trauma surgery, and perforation repairs
- Manage incision and drainage of abscesses and wound care
- Provide on-call coverage for emergency surgical consultations and interventions
- Utilize advanced surgical skills as needed (laparoscopic, vascular, plastic surgery)
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system (MediTech)
Key Responsibilities
Perform emergency general surgery procedures, including trauma surgery and wound care, while managing assigned patient rounding. Provide on-call coverage for emergency surgical consultations and interventions in an inpatient setting.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified with an active Kentucky license or IMLC. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, along with extensive experience in various surgical specialties.
