How you’ll contribute

A Pharmacist Who Excels in This Role

  • Coordinates and provides the pharmaceutical care of patients
  • Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

Key Responsibilities

The pharmacist will coordinate pharmaceutical care and manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team. They are responsible for reviewing medication orders for accuracy and providing drug information to staff and patients.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Pharmacy license in the state of Ohio. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a stressful behavioral health environment.
