Job Description

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRN
  • Kane Scott | Scott Township – Pittsburgh, PA
  • PRN | Flexible Scheduling | Skilled Nursing & Geriatric Rehabilitation
  • Looking for flexible PRN SLP hours in the Pittsburgh / South Hills area?

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is hiring a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team at Kane Scott in Scott Township, Pennsylvania.

This is a great opportunity for an SLP who wants to add flexible hours to their schedule while continuing to provide meaningful clinical care to an adult and geriatric population within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Whether you're already working full-time and looking for supplemental income, want to maintain a flexible schedule, or simply enjoy the variety that PRN work provides, we'd love to talk with you.

Why SLPs Enjoy This Setting

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Kane Scott, you'll have the opportunity to work with residents who have a variety of communication, cognitive and swallowing needs.

Your Work May Include

  • Speech, language, and cognitive-communication evaluations and treatment
  • Dysphagia and swallowing assessment and intervention
  • Development and implementation of individualized, functional treatment plans
  • Cognitive-linguistic therapy focused on memory, attention, problem-solving, and functional communication
  • Patient, family, and caregiver education
  • Collaboration with PT, OT, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge recommendations

Supporting residents in maintaining or improving their communication, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life

For an SLP who enjoys geriatrics, dysphagia, cognition, and medically complex patients, this is an opportunity to use a broad range of your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference.

PRN That Actually Works With Your Schedule

  • PRN shouldn't feel like another full-time commitment.
  • We're looking for an SLP interested in providing PRN coverage as needed, making this a great option for someone who wants:
  • Supplemental income alongside another position
  • Flexible weekday availability
  • Occasional additional hours based on facility needs
  • More adult and geriatric clinical experience
  • An opportunity to stay clinically active without committing to a full-time schedule

Have consistent availability? Great.

  • Only have certain days or times that work?
  • Let's talk about it.
  • We understand that flexibility is often the reason clinicians choose PRN work, and we want to find scheduling opportunities that make sense for both you and our rehabilitation team.

Discover the Advantage

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation has been delivering rehabilitation services for more than 23 years. We're proud to be therapist-founded and therapist-led, and that clinical foundation continues to shape how we support our rehabilitation teams.

We believe great therapy happens when clinicians have the ability to use their professional judgment, collaborate with their team, and focus on the individual in front of them.

At AdvantageCare, You Can Expect

Clinical Autonomy. Your expertise matters, and your clinical voice is valued.

Supportive Leadership. Work with leaders who understand rehabilitation and the realities of providing excellent patient care.

A Collaborative Team Environment. Being PRN doesn't mean you're simply filling a shift. We want you to feel like part of the rehabilitation team.

Flexible Scheduling. We work with our PRN clinicians to identify coverage opportunities that fit both facility needs and therapist availability.

Competitive PRN Rates. We recognize the experience, knowledge, and flexibility PRN clinicians bring to our teams.

Opportunities to Grow. If you're interested in additional hours or future opportunities, AdvantageCare continues to provide rehabilitation services throughout the Pittsburgh region and Pennsylvania.

Experienced SLP? We'd Love Your Expertise.

If you've been practicing for years and want to add PRN hours without changing your primary position, this could be a great way to stay connected to patient care while supplementing your current schedule.

Your experience with dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, neurological conditions, and medically complex patients can make an immediate impact.

We're especially interested in SLPs who are comfortable working independently, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing skilled, patient-centered care in a post-acute or long-term care environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure
  • CCC-SLP preferred
  • Experience working with adult or geriatric populations is a plus
  • Skilled nursing, dysphagia, and cognitive-communication experience preferred
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the rehabilitation team
