The Iowa Clinic is seeking a strategic, relationship-focused Physician Recruitment Consultant to help attract and hire exceptional physicians who will support our continued growth and commitment to patient care.
In this role, you will partner closely with physician leaders, operational leaders, and the Director of Provider Recruitment to execute full-cycle physician recruitment strategies. You will serve as a trusted advisor throughout the recruitment process while creating an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding and integration.
What You'll Do
Lead Full-Cycle Physician Recruitment
- Manage physician recruitment searches from sourcing through onboarding.
- Develop recruitment strategies aligned with workforce planning and organizational growth goals.
- Build and maintain physician talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and relationship development.
- Screen, evaluate, and present qualified physician candidates to hiring leaders.
- Guide candidates and hiring teams through the interview and selection process.
Deliver an Exceptional Candidate Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for physician candidates.
- Coordinate virtual and onsite interviews, site visits, and community experiences.
- Build lasting relationships with candidates and maintain proactive communication throughout the recruitment journey.
- Support successful onboarding and integration of newly hired physicians.
Partner Strategically with Leaders
- Collaborate with physician and operational leaders on workforce planning initiatives.
- Provide market intelligence, recruitment trends, and competitive insights.
- Assist with succession planning and future workforce forecasting efforts.
- Develop strong relationships with residency and fellowship programs to create long-term talent pipelines.
Support Recruitment Marketing & Employer Branding
- Promote The Iowa Clinic through conferences, networking events, and professional associations.
- Partner with Marketing on physician recruitment campaigns and employer branding initiatives.
- Leverage social media and recruitment technologies to engage prospective candidates.
Utilize Data to Drive Results
- Track recruitment activity and maintain accurate candidate records.
- Analyze recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and pipeline performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of professional recruiting experience.
- Valid Iowa driver's license and ability to transport candidates throughout the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous physician recruitment experience.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
- Demonstrated success developing sourcing strategies and talent pipelines.
- Strong partnership and consultative experience working with leadership teams.
