Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include
- Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Assessing patients’ home environments and reinforcing appropriate safety strategies
- Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements
- Need to Have:
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
- Afternoon availability
