Your Role as a Home Care Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include

Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Recommending and training patients in the use of appropriate adaptive equipment under the direction of the Occupational Therapist Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, physical therapists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation Home care offers a unique opportunity to get to know your patients and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Each visit is different, and you’ll have the autonomy to provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.

Requirements
Need to Have:
Current Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
