Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include

Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist Assessing patients’ home environments and reinforcing appropriate safety strategies Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation Home care offers a unique opportunity to get to know your patients and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Each visit is different, and you’ll have the autonomy to provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.

Requirements
Need to Have:
Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
Afternoon availability
Nice to Have:
Previous home care experience
Monday–Friday availability
Weekend availability
