Job Description

Position Reference: 01CLFCE007-LMHP

Location: Elementary schools of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. On site.

Employment Type: Employee (W-2) with benefits, school-year schedule.

Compensation: $46.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Schedule: School days, Monday through Friday, on the Anne Arundel County Public Schools calendar. Eastern Time.

Agency Environment: Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Behavioral and Mental Health Residency Model in twelve elementary schools.

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is assembling the team it will propose to Anne Arundel County Public Schools for the district's Behavioral and Mental Health Residency Model, and is selecting the licensed mental health provider for it. Team members are named in our proposal with their resumes and credentials, and positions begin on contract award.

The residency places a multidisciplinary team of two BCBAs, eight Registered Behavior Technicians and a licensed mental health provider in twelve elementary schools. The schools serve high acuity students, with and without disabilities, who show significant social, emotional, behavioral and mental health needs.

You are the mental health voice on a behavioral team. Your role is consultative: you help BCBAs, teachers and school teams see how trauma, anxiety and emotional dysregulation shape what a student does at school, and you help build prevention, response and reentry plans that hold.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consultation on the social-emotional, behavioral and mental health needs of students receiving residency support.

Collaborate with BCBAs, school teams and district staff to integrate behavioral interventions with trauma-informed and mental health-informed practice.

Support staff understanding of how trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation and other mental health factors affect school functioning.

Assist with prevention and response strategies for students with high acuity emotional or behavioral needs.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support the integration of mental health supports into intervention planning.

Provide consultative support for student regulation, school participation and reentry following behavioral or emotional crises.

Required Qualifications

Current Maryland license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or an equivalent Maryland mental health license appropriate to these services.

  • Experience providing school-based or child mental health services.
  • Experience addressing significant social-emotional, behavioral or mental health needs.
  • Ability to clear the background checks that Maryland law and Anne Arundel County Public Schools require for work with students.
  • A current resume and copies of your credentials, which CLFC submits to the district with its proposal.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in elementary schools serving high acuity students.
  • Experience working alongside BCBAs or within multidisciplinary school teams.
  • Training in trauma-informed care.
  • Crisis response and school reentry planning experience.
  • Experience in Maryland public schools.
