About the Role

Avighna Holistic Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Outpatient Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to join our growing team in Durham, NC. Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and/or family outpatient therapy sessions to clients with a variety of mental health needs

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic, client-centered care
• Provide bilingual counseling services to non-English-speaking clients, reducing language barriers to mental health access
• Participate in case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
• Active NC licensure (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or associate-level equivalent)
• Clinical speciality preferred (EMDR, IFS, TF-CBT, etc)
• Bilingual proficiency required (Spanish or other language — must be able to conduct therapy sessions in both languages)
• Experience providing outpatient mental health therapy in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed practices
• Strong cultural competency and experience working with diverse, underserved populations
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
