Job Description

Pro Rehab is proud to partner with the University of Minnesota to offer a Geriatric Clinical Residency designed for physical therapists who want to grow into confident, highly skilled clinicians in geriatric care.

This 12-month, full-time residency blends advanced clinical practice with structured learning, mentorship, and service. You’ll work alongside respected geriatric specialists while gaining the depth of experience needed to provide exceptional care for older adults—and to prepare for the Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) exam.

As our Physical Therapist (PT), you will evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility, restore physical function, and reduce pain through individualized treatment plans.

Your responsibilities will include assessing patients’ physical conditions and movement abilities, developing and implementing rehabilitation programs, providing hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercises, educating patients and caregivers on exercises and injury prevention, monitoring progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support quality patient care.

To be successful, you must have strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, excellent assessment and communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
