Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for the Management of Respiratory Care
Role encompasses direct patient care by providing patient assessments, interventions, and coordination of respiratory plan of care
Assist the Respiratory Clinical Manager in the education of staff, patients, and families; performs thorough developmentally-appropriate respiratory assessment
- Communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals, patients and families.
- Perform comprehensive respiratory care evaluations for the patient (inpatient and outpatient) population and families
- Assess the need for respiratory care-related equipment and supplies
- Participate in performance improvement efforts related to respiratory therapy
- Required Skills/Abilities
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for respiratory care
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT) per the National Board of Respiratory Care required
- Current license to practice Respiratory Care by the Texas Medical Board
- Minimum 2 years of acute care practice; pediatric experience and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred
- Current BLS and PALS Certification required

- Lifting or carrying between 25 - 50 lbs.

This position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical Hazards, and Respiratory Hazards

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited respiratory care program and hold a current RRT certification and Texas state license. A minimum of two years of acute care experience is required, with pediatric experience and NPS certification preferred.
