Job Description
School Psychologist | Make an Impact Beyond the Evaluation
At Career Academy Network of Public Schools (CANOPS), we believe student support should be part of the design of education, not an afterthought.
We are looking for a school psychologist who wants to do more than evaluate students and write reports—someone who wants to help build systems, strengthen mental health supports, and make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
This role offers the opportunity to use the full scope of your expertise in a collaborative, student-centered network of schools.
You will work alongside an experienced educational diagnostician who is currently completing a school psychology program, providing a knowledgeable and collaborative partner in evaluation and intervention work.
Together, you can strengthen our evaluation processes while expanding the ways we support students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. What makes this opportunity different?
Practice the full scope of school psychology. Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility and IEP processes while also providing opportunities for direct mental health support, counseling, consultation, and behavioral intervention.
Help shape MTSS across our network. Work alongside our Student Services team and school-based teams to strengthen systems of support, align interventions to student needs, and improve how we identify and respond to barriers to learning.
Build something meaningful. Contribute to the development of consistent, effective intervention and problem-solving processes across multiple school settings. Your expertise will help shape not only individual student plans but also the systems that support students across our network.
Collaborate with a strong student services team. Partner with special education, social work, English learner services, 504 coordination, and school leadership to create more comprehensive, connected supports for students and families.
Make prevention and early intervention part of the work. Help school teams understand student needs, use data to guide decisions, and implement proactive supports before challenges become more significant.
See the impact of your work beyond a report. Build relationships with students, families, and educators and help translate assessment findings into practical strategies that improve access, engagement, and success.
At CANOPS, our schools are committed to career-connected learning and creating opportunities for students to discover their strengths and build their futures. That work is only successful when students have the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional supports they need to participate and thrive.
We are looking for a school psychologist who is collaborative, curious, solutions-oriented, and excited to help us continue building those supports. If you want your work to extend beyond identifying student needs to actively helping schools meet them, we would love to hear from you.
