Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor

Key Responsibilities

The counselor is responsible for monitoring and implementing behavioral health programs and facilitating substance use interventions within a correctional medical setting. They act as a liaison for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and participate in quality assurance and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a CASAC or CASAC2 certification and possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related human services field. At least one year of clinical experience is preferred, along with strong communication and independent working skills.
