Join UChicago Medicine as a Advanced Practice Provider, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant - Short Stay Unit - Part - Time, Rotating in United States. Be part of a world-class academic healthcare system, The University of Chicago Medicine, as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Short Stay Unit. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management in the general medicine patient population.
- will manage a caseload of patients and exercise autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments.
- will provide healthcare and patient services that may include educational, research, and clinical nursing specialist support, and completing administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Director/leadership.
- Must be certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse's Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners * Must have or be able to qualify for Illinois and DEA prescribing numbers * Must have a minimum of 2 years inpatient, general medicine or hospital medicine experience as a PA or NP.
Requirements
- Master's of Science in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice
- Current and/or eligibility for State of Illinois RN and APN licensure/registration
- Must be certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse's Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Must have or be able to qualify for Illinois and DEA prescribing numbers
