Job Description
Carle Health is seeking additional BE/BC Emergency Medicine physicians to join our quality-oriented department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
- Stable 45-member department, all of whom are ABEM/AOBEM certified seeing 92,000 patients per year
- Department also includes 25 Advanced Practice Providers
- Your choice of working at Level I Trauma Center, a nearby critical access hospital with 10,000 visits, or a combination of the two
- Potential leadership opportunity available for candidates with suitable experience/qualifications.
24 hour in-house coverage provided by Anesthesia, Intensivists, Trauma, OB/GYN, ED and 50 Hospitalists; In-house Pediatric Hospitalists and PICU available 24/7

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $430,000 - $534,520. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.
The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients at a Level I Trauma Center or critical access hospital. Participate in clinical leadership, teaching, and research initiatives through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Applicants should hold ABEM or AOBEM certification and possess the qualifications to work in a high-volume trauma environment.
