As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play an important role in helping people on their path to better health by delivering expert clinical pharmacy support, medication therapy management, and patient education. In this role, you will use your PharmD expertise to collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective, and evidence-based care.
You will help improve patient outcomes by providing clinical consultation, monitoring for adverse events, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and promoting medication safety. What You Will Do
Make a meaningful impact on patient health by providing direct counseling and education on prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and other health-related topics
Support safe, effective care by conducting medication therapy reviews, monitoring medication utilization patterns, and identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes
Help patients feel informed and confident in their care by explaining medication instructions, potential side effects, and possible drug interactions, while addressing questions and concerns with empathy and clarity
Review and assess medication profiles, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, to promote appropriateness, accuracy, and safety
Contribute to quality and operational excellence by supporting prescription processing, inventory management, and the accuracy of medication orders
Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary partners to optimize medication therapy and treatment plans, making recommendations that support better health outcomes
Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, identify potential contraindications or interactions, and support safe medication dispensing practices
Advance preventive care by participating in health and wellness initiatives, including immunization efforts and disease management programs
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance by staying current on pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry standards
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience
- Licensed Pharmacist in State of residence
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
- Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills
- Advanced growth mindset skills, including agility and developing self and others
- Advanced execution and delivery skills, including planning, delivering, and supporting work
- Ability to evaluate the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and make sound decisions
- Advanced digital literacy skills.

Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range for This Role Is
$50.48 - $84.62
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
