Join Family Practice Asn as a Licensed Professional Counselor - LCSW / LMFT / LPCC (Full-time) in Lexington, Kentucky. Family Practice Associates was founded by Dr. Jeffrey Foxx in 1983 and has grown to one of the largest family practice groups in Central Kentucky.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive, culturally sensitive psychosocial assessments, develops care plans, and provides counseling and crisis intervention services to individuals and families.
- Coordinates services with appropriate clinic and community resources.
- Provides information and education about health/mental health issues to individual patients and to groups.
- Documents assessment, intervention, and treatment data in medical record.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling or a counseling related field from an accredited college or university
- Must be currently licensed to practice counseling services in state of Kentucky.
- Minimum two-three years of experience in providing counseling services and broad background with diverse patient populations, preferably in medical office setting
- Knowledge of professional counseling principles, methodology, and ethics and of human psychosocial development within the family, community, and culture.
