The retina surgeon will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula. Responsibilities include performing intravitreal injections, retinal laser procedures, and complex surgeries like pars plana vitrectomy while coordinating care with referring providers.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency, and possess fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in ophthalmology and eligible for medical licensure in Tennessee.
