Duties & Responsibilities
- Round on inpatients on the Cardiothoracic Surgery service daily.
- Be on call for emergent procedures, responding within required timeframe.
- Perform CABG and thoracic surgeries as needed.
- Conduct clinic visits (10-12 patients) when covering for regular surgeon.
- Manage inpatient census of 4-6 patients and coordinate care with support staff.
Key Responsibilities
The surgeon will perform daily inpatient rounds, manage a patient census, and conduct clinic visits. Additionally, they are responsible for providing on-call coverage for emergent procedures and performing cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with an active Ohio medical license and ACLS certification. Proficiency in CABG and thoracic surgery is required, with vascular procedure experience preferred.
