Who We Are

Calvert Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our close-knit team in Owings, MD! We’re a smaller, high-volume practice that takes pride in providing personalized care while maintaining a strong focus on work-life balance.

If you’re looking for a team that feels like family, offers flexibility, and keeps things interesting, we’d love to meet you! About the PracticeOur hospital sees approximately 15–20 patients per doctor each day and has a diverse caseload consisting of 95% small animal and 5% exotic patients.

We have three exam rooms, two surgical suites, a dedicated treatment area, and a paperless workflow. Appointment lengths typically range from 15–30 minutes and may vary based on each doctor’s discretion, comfort level, and the needs of the patient. Our current equipment includes:

• Digital radiography and dental radiography
• Ultrasound
• Therapy laser

We’re also giving the hospital a fresh facelift, with updates underway to the flooring, paint, X-ray room, cabinetry, and front desk. About the Team: Our team is truly family-oriented, and we believe work-life balance matters.

On stressful days, you may find us grabbing lunch or heading out to dinner together after work. You’ll have a 2:1 doctor-to-technician/assistant ratio, one CVT, and three additional assistants currently attending tech school. We also enjoy giving our doctors opportunities to explore their interests.
