Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Inpatient Rehabilitation
Part-time, 24 hours/week, 3x8 hours/day

How you’ll contribute
An Occupational Therapist Assistant who excels in this role:
- Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
- Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
- Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
- Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.

What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have a current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Additional requirements include:
- Previous experience in the care of patients preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR.
- Must demonstrate strong communication, time management, and clinical documentation skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred
- Possess near vision acuity for accurate reading of equipment and recording in patient medical record
- Must be physically able to lift, support and move patients.

Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist Assistant will communicate patient progress to the interdisciplinary team and instruct families on home exercise programs. They are also responsible for accurate clinical documentation and maintaining a safe, clean treatment environment.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and possess current BLS/CPR certification. Strong communication, time management, and clinical documentation skills are required, with familiarity in electronic medical records preferred.
