Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role offers a strong balance of independence and patient interaction, serving a broad territory throughout western and central Massachusetts.

With a manageable on-call schedule that typically experiences low activity levels, this position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys building patient relationships, providing education, and delivering high-quality respiratory care while maintaining a consistent daytime schedule.

Key highlights Work Arrangement: On-site Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Coverage area extends up to approximately 1 hour in most directions Mix of patient education, equipment management, and respiratory care services Salary range $32 – $35 per hour.

Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location On-Call transparency On-call rotation includes approximately 7–8 days per month, including weekends What you'll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs Performs other duties as required What we look for Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MA RT license.

Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.

Valid driver's license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy Hold a current CPR Certification Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
