Job Description
Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's in pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
- Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency

- Required: No Prior Experience Required
- Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training

Required: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist
Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
Medication Therapy Services Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Key Responsibilities
Staff pharmacists are responsible for processing and verifying medication orders while monitoring patient medication therapies. They also provide drug information and supervise support personnel within the inpatient pharmacy department.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school and be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. No prior experience is required, though completion of a PGY1 residency is preferred.
