Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. Education: Required: Bachelor's in pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency Experience: Required: No Prior Experience Required Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training Skills: None specified Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist
## Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
Medication Therapy Services Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Key Responsibilities
Staff pharmacists are responsible for processing and verifying medication orders while monitoring patient therapy. They also provide drug information and supervise support personnel in the pharmacy.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school and be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is preferred but not required.
