Short Description

Evaluates patients and plans Speech Therapy for oral-motor functioning, language comprehension, speech (speaking) abilities, basic reading/writing abilities, as well as feeding and swallowing abilities based on patient's specific age group.

Adapts program according to the needs of individual patient, appropriate to the patient's specific age group. Selects constructive activities suited to the individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level and interest and documents outcomes of the evaluation/treatment in a timely manner. Consults with other members of the rehabilitative team

Education Requirements

Graduate of an approved College or University with a Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

License/Certification Requirements

Must possess a current license to practice Speech Therapy in the State of New Jersey.

Evaluates patients and develops speech therapy plans focusing on oral-motor functioning, language comprehension, and swallowing abilities. Adapts treatment programs to meet the specific needs and physical capacities of individual patients across different age groups.

Requirements

Requires a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an approved college or university. Must hold a current license to practice Speech Therapy in the State of New Jersey.
