Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our Hospital at Home team at Baptist South. This is a part-time opportunity working a rotating schedule of four 10-hour shifts (0900-1930) and one 8-hour shift (0630-1500) and one weekend a month as Decentralized Clinical Pharmacist.

Baptist Health is expanding an innovative Hospital at Home program at Baptist South that allows patients to complete their hospital stay at home. Patients that will be part of this program are provided with remote patient monitoring (RPM), technology kits, and communication devices.

A 24-hour command center staffed by nurses monitors patients virtually, and contracted personnel provide in-home care when required. This program represents a transformational initiative in healthcare delivery.

This Pharmacist will be checking patient orders, authorizations, dispensing medications, will be supervising technicians, and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This Pharmacist will have the autonomy to work independently. A Pharmacists license in the State of Florida is required as well as In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy experience. IV Room/ Infusion experience and a completed PGY1 is preferred, but not required.

As a Pharmacist, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Entering orders with great accuracy.
  • Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
  • Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
  • Answering questions for all health care professionals.
  • Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
  • Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

Education & Credential Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
  • Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required

Bachelor of Science Required

A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required. In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred and PGY1 Residency is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

A Florida Pharmacist license and a Bachelor of Science degree are required for this position. Previous in-patient hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, with PGY1 residency also considered a plus.
