MUSC Health- Florence Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join a very busy and broad general surgery practice structured with APP support in Florence, SC.

Florence is centrally located to many desirable locations that are just a short drive away, including Myrtle Beach, SC, Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC. Florence offers excellent schools, both public and private options, and an affordable cost of living.

Commute times to most desirable locations within Florence are no more than 20 minutes or less and excellent weather year-round.

As a partner and collaborator with our academic medical center, you’ll have access to advanced technologies such as specialty and sub-specialty diagnostic support, and direct affiliation with clinical centers of excellence, all to better empower you to increase and optimize care locally.

Key Responsibilities

The surgeon will join a busy general surgery practice to provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with an academic medical center. Responsibilities include participating in grand rounds, tumor boards, and utilizing advanced robotic technologies for surgical procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Additional expertise in bariatric, vascular, or trauma/critical care is considered a plus.
