Job Description
Practice
Littlestown Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, primary care practice. We provide a variety of services including wellness and sick patient care, medical diagnostics, and on-site surgeries.
Position Purpose
Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
- Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
- Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
Key Responsibilities
Students will participate in a hands-on externship program to gain practical experience in a full-service veterinary practice. Responsibilities include assisting with wellness care, medical diagnostics, and on-site surgeries under mentorship.
Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school. Applicants are also required to provide student PLIT documentation.
