The psychiatrist will support the program by evaluating personnel and providing accurate reports compliant with mission standards, including detailed evaluation reports covering mental status exams and pertinent history. Essential duties involve analyzing personnel test results such as MMPI and various substance tests, and providing professional summaries including diagnosis and opinions on rehabilitation.
The minimum requirement is being a licensed psychiatrist (MD) who must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance. Preferred qualifications include seven to ten years of related experience, preferably with the DOE.
