Job Description
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
- Nocturnist position
- Join a dedicated team of 5 Nocturnists.
- Join an established, dynamic and talented team of Physicians and APP’s, working in a collaborative environment focusing on patient-centered care
- 7 nights on, 7 nights off
- Responsible for admissions and/or cross coverage from 7 pm – 7 am based on the campus
- Closed ICU staffed by Intensivist Providers 24/7
Nocturnist team provides coverage at Methodist (349-bed), Proctor (210-bed), and Pekin (95-bed) Hospitals for admissions and cross coverage. Provider will only cover one hospital each shift.
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $345,000 - $527,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.
The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. Key Responsibilities
The Nocturnist is responsible for patient admissions and cross-coverage during night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. They will work in a collaborative environment alongside a team of physicians and advanced practice providers.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine. The role requires the ability to work a 7 nights on, 7 nights off schedule.
