As a Physician Assistant with OrthoArizona, you will get to:

* Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the Physician.

* Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.

* Review patient medical records.

* Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.

* Perform complete physical exam and records findings.

* Establish presumptive diagnosis.

* Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures.

* Administer injections and medications.

* Advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.

* Recommend community resources to help patient and family needs.

* Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment procedures.

* Assist physicians in recording patient progress.

* Issue diagnostic orders.

* Triage patient phone calls.

* Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.

* Provide on call services on assigned basis.

* Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.

* All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

* Working knowledge of computer programs.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Complete and maintain HCP training.

* Understand/Perform training on practice management software.

* Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.

* Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

* Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant Program.

* Certification from the National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants.

* Maintain Arizona State License.

* Maintain CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

* 2 years of Physician Assistant experience in a busy orthopedic practice.
