Job Description

Advanced Rx is a compounding pharmacy in Fort Washington, PA, and we're hiring a full-time pharmacist. Pay is $120,000+ per year, plus up to a $2,000 performance bonus.

Here is a breakdown of the position. It has three main parts:

Verification of prescriptions

Counseling Patients Over the Phone

Speaking to prescribers' offices regarding clarifications, etc.

This role balances thorough prescription verification with active clinical and interdepartmental communication. Working across dual monitors, you will manage queue volume while fielding phone calls from patients and MD offices, as well as addressing real-time chat inquiries from internal team members.

Our patients are grateful for our help, and some may require additional counseling. The ability to remain calm and supportive is a must. We track workflow and verification metrics primarily to ensure the workload is fair and evenly shared across the team.

You'll get regular feedback and support from leadership, and we'll genuinely want yours in return. Our pharmacists share the schedule and look out for each other, so a team-first mindset matters here.

If that sounds like your kind of work, we think you'll be happy here. No cashiering, no drive-thru - your day is patient care, start to finish. We're a small business, so we make decisions with employees in mind, and we can pivot when a change makes sense (no corporate red tape!).

Real scheduled lunch breaks, very few weekend hours, no 12–14-hour shifts, and we're closed Sundays and all major holidays with holiday pay. Compounding experience isn't required. You'll get extensive training and support during onboarding, plus access to all of our clinical and process information.

We are a tech-forward company that utilizes the latest tools and guides to help you succeed in your workflow.

What We Need from You

  • An active PA pharmacist license
  • 1 year of experience as a practicing pharmacist

Genuine Enjoyment of Talking with Patients

  • Strong multitasking skills - you can switch between verifying prescriptions and incoming calls without losing focus
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Coachability

Solid Computer Skills

The shift is 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We also have an 11 AM–3 PM Saturday rotation every 4–6 weeks which pays an additional Saturday Stipend. The role starts on-site; after 90 days, you may become eligible for 1 day of work-from-home per week based on performance.

Benefits include health insurance for you and your family, paid time off, 401(k) matching, and holiday pay.

Our current pharmacist team is very tight-knit and loves working alongside one another throughout the workday rather than flying solo. If this work environment sounds like a good fit for you, we'd love to meet you!
