The Physician Assistant is responsible for evaluating patients, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests under the direction of a physician. They also develop patient management plans, perform clinical procedures, and provide patient education regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field. A valid New Jersey Physician Assistant license, AAPA certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
