Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive ID care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities
- Provide infectious disease consults in long-term care settings
- Assess and manage infections including HIV, Hep B and C, pneumonia, UTIs, sepsis risk, wound infections, and multidrug-resistant organisms
- Order and interpret cultures, blood work, and imaging studies
- Prescribe and manage antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral antibiotics
- Collaborate with infectious disease physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor infection control practices and support antimicrobial stewardship programs
- Educate staff and families on infection prevention and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
- Active and unrestricted NP license
- DEA license required
- CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
- Graduation from an accredited NP program
- Preferred: Experience in ID (training available if not)
- Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e. g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
