Jackson Health System is seeking a dedicated Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our heart failure team, providing high-quality inpatient care and ongoing outpatient follow-up for patients with advanced heart failure. This role includes a blend of hospital-based service and outpatient clinic responsibilities, with required call coverage.

Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our highly regarded Cardiac Services Team. As South Florida's most comprehensive cardiology program, we provide care and support to patients and families at every step of the journey, from routine cardiology care to complex cardiac surgeries.

Lead the evaluation, diagnosis, management, and ongoing care of patients with advanced heart failure at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Jackson North Medical Center.

Provide continuous, high-quality medical care aligned with Jackson Health System standards, including direct patient care, consultation, and clinical decision-making.

Deliver inpatient cardiology services, including management of acute and chronic heart failure cases.

Conduct outpatient follow-up clinics three times per week, ensuring continuity of care for recently discharged and established heart failure patients.

  • Participate in call coverage as part of the cardiology service line.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes and care transitions.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice within the heart failure program.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required

Experience

  • Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. Graduating fellows are welcome to apply
  • License/Certification
  • Valid Florida Medical License.

DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
