Job Description

This position is for Med-Surg Educator AND Patient Experience/Communication Educator.

Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients, identify a plan of care, and implement and evaluate the care given. Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

Provides didactic and hands-on education to support staff development and enhance clinical performance.

Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: Required: At least 2 years previous nursing experience Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective leadership abilities Exhibit valuable time management skills Computer literacy skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri Required: Must complete department specific certifications within the designated time frame

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Educator utilizes the nursing process to assess patient needs and implement care plans while leading the patient care team. They also provide didactic and hands-on education to support staff development and improve clinical performance.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and possess at least two years of previous nursing experience. An active RN license in the state of Missouri is required, along with the ability to complete department-specific certifications.
