Key Responsibilities
- Provide gastroenterology consults for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
- Evaluate and manage GI conditions such as GERD, GI bleeding, liver disease, constipation, dysphagia, and inflammatory bowel disease.
- Conduct comprehensive GI-focused evaluations.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and stool studies.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted NP license
- DEA license required
- CPR certification (BCLS/BLS).
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants).
- Graduation from an accredited NP program
- Preferred: Experience in GI (training available if not).
- Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e. g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided).
