Respiratory Therapist (Travel) - NICU (RRT) - Portland, OR
VitalHire is hiring a travel Respiratory Therapist (NICU (RRT)) for an acute care hospital in Portland, OR.
Contract Details
- Weekly pay: $2,316/wk
- Stipend: includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,729/wk where eligible (GSA FY2027 max for this location)
- Shift: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00 7:00
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: 11/9/2026

About the Assignment
- Will position float between units: Yes
- Are weekends required? Yes Every other weekend
- What are expected ratios? 1:15
- Special requirements: Need to have critical care and NICU experience
- Charting: Epic
- Overtime: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%
Requirements
- Active license/certification for OR (compact accepted where applicable) and the NICU (RRT) specialty
- 1-2 years of recent NICU (RRT) experience
- RRT credential (NBRC), state RCP license, BLS, NRP and PALS
Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care in the NICU and float between hospital units as needed. Responsibilities include patient charting using Epic and maintaining a 1:15 patient ratio.
