Job Description

Position Summary

Pharmacists at ECU Health Medical Center are committed to the safe and effective use of medications through maximizing drug distribution and optimizing drug therapy outcomes; educating patients, providers, and ourselves on best practices; and fully integrating pharmacists into the continuum of care. Pharmacists report directly to a designated Pharmacy Supervisor based on area of practice.

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. or PharmD in pharmacy
  • Hospital Pharmacist experience preferred
  • Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the NC Board of Pharmacy by start date
  • Maintains active NC pharmacy license and provides proof of renewal prior to December 31 annually
  • American Heart Association BLS is required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Requirements

Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics preferred

Requirements

Candidates must hold a B.S. or PharmD in pharmacy and possess an active North Carolina pharmacy license. Completion of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residencies in pediatrics is preferred.
