Responsibilities

Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients in a correctional facility

Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens, as appropriate, to assessed medical conditions

• Maintain medical records and charts documenting all medical services rendered
• Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components, as appropriate
• Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required

Qualifications

• Current state license as a MD/DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Current DEA license
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
