Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team at Gastropark Ridge. The ideal candidate will support our board-certified gastroenterologists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. This role is 100% inpatient.
Location: Gastropark Ridge offers a welcoming environment with modern facilities, convenient access to major highways, and a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital
- Call responsibility involved- to be discussed during interview
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions.
- Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more.
- Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
