Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor (PRN as needed/on-call)

UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor, you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments.

Current Openings & Locations

(2) Fort Dodge, IA - Weekends, flexible hours based on applicant's availability

Shifts: The shifts range from 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. On call pay is $3.25 to be available.

Responsibilities

Crisis Response (30%): Deliver immediate intervention and support to clients in crisis at the location where the crisis is occurring

Documentation (30%): Complete all required data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy.

On-Call Availability (30%): Be reachable by phone and ready to respond within a 1-hour radius, coordinating with your on-call partner

Compliance & Standards (10%): Uphold UnityPoint Health values, maintain required certifications, and adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

Education:

Must Meet One of the Following

• Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
• Bachelor’s degree; or
• Associate’s degree; or
• High school diploma

Experience (Based on Education Level Noted Above)

• Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience
• Bachelor’s in human services: 1 year
• Bachelor’s in non-human services: 2 years
• Associate’s degree: 2 years
• High school diploma: 2 years

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid driver’s license and compliance with Eyerly Ball’s auto insurance policy
• Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks
