Job Description
Language Pathologist in Speech Pathology Unit at Queen of the Valley Medical Center Hospital. This position is Part time and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

The Speech Language Pathologist's duties include assessment, treatment, planning, training, education, and communication to address speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist will meet the needs of patients, caregivers and the community, and work with interdisciplinary and ancillary healthcare providers to ensure optimal continuum of care. Performs all duties under minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology
- Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering Speech Language Pathology Services in a variety of settings

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and planning of care for patients with speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure an optimal continuum of care for patients and their caregivers.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology. A valid California Speech Language Pathologist License and American Heart Association BLS certification are required upon hire.
