  • Experience in mental health settings or working with individuals with behavioral health needs.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical documentation standards and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to perform clinical assessments and support discharge planning processes.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and advanced clinical documentation software.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health and severe emotional disturbances (SED).
  • Conduct clinical assessments and assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment and discharge plans.
  • Monitor patient behavior and intervene during crises to ensure safety and de-escalate potentially harmful situations.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and support recovery goals.

Skills

The required skills such as clinical documentation and maintaining accurate records are essential for ensuring continuity and quality of patient care, allowing the team to track progress and adjust treatment plans effectively.

Crisis management and crisis intervention skills are used daily to respond promptly and safely to behavioral emergencies, helping to stabilize patients and prevent harm.
